The last few days at Fensmere Fish Farm have been intense! After our previous video, Storm Nils brought massive rainfall, and the small stream running past the farm broke its banks, flooding into the lake. ????

Despite the heavy water, the river defence work we completed this year, including the Nicospan, held strong. There was no erosion, and the grass cover helped protect the banks. Most importantly, no fish were lost. ✅

In this quick update, I’ll show you the impact of the storm and how the lake is coping. I’ll be back on Saturday morning for a fishing session at the barrage, but the next week will be busy with harvesting the Leaney pond, delivering around 180 C2s, and helping a friend move fish.
