Having created three pike videos over the winter, ones aimed at helping fellow anglers build their confidence and catch more pike it was time I headed out for a few hours myself.

Today was spent on a local river with my good mate Chris and we adopted a roving approach, visiting different swims and maybe spending at most thirty minutes in each. Conditions weren't ideal but we were confident of some action, which we received. The video contains some very useful information, especially when it comes to bite detection and avoiding deep hooking, a situation no pike angler wants to find themselves in.
