Well, what an end to the week at Fensmere Carp Fishing Holidays! After a quiet few days with just one lost fish on Thursday, everything changed late Friday night when Norman hooked into something truly special.

Just before midnight, I got the call — “We’ve got one!”
I jumped in the buggy and shot down to the swim… and there she was — The Mighty General, caught for the first time this year and tipping the scales at over 71lb 4oz!

For Norman, whose previous PB was 47lb, this was the fish of dreams — not a fifty, not a sixty, but straight into the seventies club. A true Fensmere giant and one of the lake’s most iconic carp.
