I managed to sneak out for a few hours of fishing on Bank Holiday Monday — with the wife's blessing! When I arrived at the secret lake, the bailiff was hard at work laying chipped bark in the swims, so I lent a hand before setting up. With only a short session ahead, I set my sights on tench and bream... but fishing has its surprises!
While the target species didn’t show, I ended up landing 3 lovely carp and a cracking roach instead. Not bad for a few stolen hours by the water!
