Tying the Starlite Leech Steelhead and Salmon fly pattern - Episode 18 Piscator Flies

This beefy fly is a great choice to throw to steelhead, silver salmon, chum salmon, arctic char and dolly varden. The heavy lead eyes used on this fly help it get into deep pockets quickly. The fly can be fished using a jigging presentaion or dead drifted into those deep fish holding holes.

I tie this pattern in several colors including black, purple, pink, olive and flesh themed colors. Use a pink, red or orange head to create an Egg Sucking Leech (ESL) pattern.

This has also been a pretty good fly for pike and bass in Ontario.
