Learn how to tie the Undertaker – Essential Atlantic Salmon Fly Tutorials | The River Wallet Series
Created in 1979 by Warren Duncan in New Brunswick, the Undertaker has become one of the most trusted patterns in Atlantic salmon and steelhead fly boxes. With its dark profile and bright end, it is known to provoke reactionary takes – especially in low light, at first light or last cast. Whether tied sparse for summer flows or dressed in bolder form, the Undertaker is a timeless fly that has consistently delivered across rivers and generations.
In this step-by-step tying guide, fly tier Félix Lamoureux will walk you through every stage of tying the Undertaker.
