The Green Gem, as the name suggests, is a predpminently green fly using fluorescent materials. While intended for Atlantic salmon, I think this fly would be excellent for steelhead as well.

This fly was taken from the book "A Compendium of Canadian Fly Patterns" by Robert H. Jones and Paul C. Marriner, Gale's End Press, Fly Fishing Canada Publications, 2006.
