Irish pike fishing on a lough does not get tougher than this. Slow bites, hard-earned strikes, and one meter-plus pike that saved the entire session.
Targeting big pike in Ireland is never easy, but persistence paid off with a 100cm+ fish on a difficult day.

This session took us back onto an Irish lough in search of big pike, and from the very start it was clear the fish were not active. Long quiet periods, subtle follows, and very few chances to trigger a bite made this one of the tougher pike fishing days this season.

Despite the slow conditions, we stayed patient, changed tactics, and managed to land a few pike, including an unforgettable meter-plus pike. Proof that even on hard days, big fish are still possible.
