The Lake of Dreams Hasn’t Done a Fish in 6 Weeks… Until Now! | Lake of Dreams Turns ON!

Join me and Ian as we kick off a serious 3-week carp fishing stint, starting at the famous Lake of Dreams before heading over to The Manor and finally finishing up at Euro Aqua for a once-in-a-lifetime session. This is a proper campaign-style build-up, and in this first episode I’m on a mission to get revenge on the lake and hopefully tempt out one of the big scaly ones — especially “the DME fish” which has been on my hit list for a long time.

Across this session I’m fishing over a heavy bed of pellet using a supercharged mix that’s been infused with the same flavours and flat spot liquids we use in the Parker Baits range. The fish here are fed on this style of pellet day in and day out, so matching what they trust is absolutely key. Tight, accurate baiting, consistent spombing, and subtle rig work are all part of the game plan.

This venue has only done one fish in the last six weeks, which shows how tricky and pressured it can be — but when it switches on, it truly earns its name as The Lake of Dreams. As always, I bring you along for the full experience: weather changes, coots being a nightmare, tactical adjustments, and eventually the all-important bite.

This is just the start… next stop is The Manor, chasing the big English 50s and that unbelievable 60lb+ fully, and then it’s time for the big one — Euro Aqua, home of 100lb+ carp and world record commons.
