I’m super excited to share this one with you! I had a great time with the great people from the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, translocating 300+ landlocked steelhead (rainbow) trout from one stretch of the Arroyo Seco, up and over the Brown Mountain Dam, into the headwaters in the mountains above Pasadena, CA.

Stay tuned for Part 2—6 months after the translocation, I head back up to check on these fish.

Videos like these require expensive camera equipment and hours upon hours of time spent shooting and editing. Ad revenue for a tiny channel like this one is equally tiny. Crafting niche fly fishing videos is a money-losing endeavor. So why do I it?

It’s a labor of love. I’ve been a filmmaker since I was 16. I love the puzzle of putting a video together. I love sharing knowledge and experience and inspiration with like-minded folks I've never met, who might be tuning in from the other side of the world.
