Back with another video, kickstarting our 2026 season on a Lake Ontario tributary for the first time in five years. Rainy conditions, slightly colored water, and overcast skies set the stage for an awesome day chasing Steelhead on the NRX+ Fly Rod.

Using an indicator setup, I connected with an absolute MEGA STEELHEAD... Easily one of the biggest steelhead I’ve ever hooked, estimated somewhere around the 12 lb mark. As if that weren’t enough, I got to watch my indicator drop multiple times throughout the day & had some crazy, chaotic moments that got the adrenaline going.

After five years of not going steelheading, this trip was a reminder of why I love chasing these fish in the first place ????
