The steelhead run has started and so have the suckers. After catching and foul hooking a bunch of suckers, I decided to move in search for some steel. The first steelhead I caught was very dark and beat. When it surfaced I couldn't tell what I hooked into but I knew it wasn't a sucker. Very happy with the first steelhead of the day. I just wished I brought my landing net to make things a lot easier on myself. The walk to beach my fish kinda sucked.

I continued to fish and after missing a couple hooksets, I decided to take a break. Standing in knee deep water I can feel my feet turning into a brick. I took this time to observe my surroundings and figure out what to do next.

I saw a short stretch that nobody drifted so I gave it a try.. a few casts later I see my float go down but I thought I hooked bottom... wrong! I had it on for a few seconds and hook popped out. Drifted again... on the third drift... Fish On!
