Steelhead are known to be finicky. In this video, we show you how to tie and fish three of our favorite fly patterns that we use for 90% of the Great Lakes steelhead we catch. These patterns are simple and deadly, beginning with the Y2K.

The key to the Y2K is the contrasting colors used to create the fly. Tied in a variety of colors, and in sizes 12 and 14, there's truly a Y2K for every occasion!nThe Eggstasy Egg is a favorite single-color egg that looks extremely realistic in the water. The eggstasy yarn gives off a pulsing movement, seemingly expanding and contracting similar to that of real eggs. Steelhead eat this pattern like crazy! The third pattern is a Sexy Walt because...well...of course it is! This all-around pattern is killer on Great Lakes Steelhead thanks to that little orange hot spot collar!

If you don't tie flies, check out what we offer on our website: www.darkskiesflyfishing.com/onlinestore.
