Trotline run on the flooded Colorado River in Texas. All of our early summer crystal clear fly fishing rivers and creeks were blown out from tons of rain. We ran a couple trotlines to put some filets in the freezer. We used common carp as cut bait. I had caught a carp on a night crawler on the trotline a few weeks prior and cut him up and froze it. I was happy with the results. I think carp out fishes bluegill... We are going to run some experiments on that to find out.
