In this video, our volunteer Fabio shows you how to tie a variation of the "Clouser Minnow" streamer fly. The original design is by Bob Clouser. This is a fly that you can use to target smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappies, trout, steelhead, and other freshwater species. You can also use it for saltwater fishing. Use a non-slip knot to tie this fly on your tippet.

Materials list:
Thread: 140 white
Hook: Gamakatsu B10S Stinger hook size 2 – 6. I used a size 4. You can use a Daiichi 2546 for saltwater fishing
Weight: Orange, red or yellow dumbbell eyes in size medium
Top wing: White deer hair (this will be on the bottom of the fly as you fish it)
Bottom Wing: Blue, red, yellow or chartreuse deer hair (this will be on the top of the fly as you fish it)
Flash: Crystal flash or lateral scale fibers
Lateral accents: Wooly bugger Grizzly hackle or other colors to match deer hair wing combinations

Fly tying skill set rating = Intermediate
