It's late February in the mountains of Idaho which means time to chase big lake trout through the ice. We had a 3 1/2 day window to spend time on Payette Lake and we made the most of it. Unfortunately the slush was horrific but with a lot of grunt work we were able to get in the right depth and start fishing. And let me tell you, it was worth it!
