I have been wanting to make a series of short pieces that concentrates on small stream fishing for wild trout in the Pacific Northwest and this is the second in the series.

I first heard of Joseph Beare through the newsletter put out by the local fly shop, Northwest Fly Fishing Outfitters. I always enjoyed Joseph's contributions because he wrote about fishing some of the same stuff that I like to fish and always wrote very well. When the shop set out to start a guiding program that focused on some lakes, rivers and streams in the Mt Hood National Forest, Joseph reached out to see if I would like to tag along on some of the scouting trips and capture some photos and video. I was both honored and excited to join. This is such an amazing way for folks who may want to explore some often overlooked pieces of water that may happen to be pretty close to home.
