I only had 3 hours after work to go Pike fishing at Lake Mary in Flagstaff, Arizona — and I wanted to see how many Pike I could catch from the bank!

Since I didn't have enough time to take the kayak out, I decided to make a day of walking the shoreline and trying several spots around the lake that I hadn't fished before.

I threw a spinnerbait, topwater frog, and topwater rat while covering as much shoreline as possible. There was plenty of action, and I managed to catch a decent number of fish in just 3 hours!

Lake Mary is one of my favorite places in Northern Arizona to target Northern Pike, and this trip was a great reminder that you don't always need a kayak to find fish.
