Well happy 2026 to all! January 2026 is the first early season month that I haven't fished since early season in WI started several years ago. For the last 3+ weeks WI has been in polar vortex hell. Temps ranged from single and teen high temperatures and minus 0F low temperatures. Shelf and full ice has settle into some of the area streams. I located a few spots on my home stream and will get out tomorrow with Adam. High of 27F tomorrow, should find a few fish around. Also a reminder that the 2026 WI Regular Trout Season opener date has changed from the first Sat in May to the first Sat in April. Looking forward to an earlier start and some fresh trout to eat!
