Wisconsin Trout Fishing - 10/25-26, Up North Days 3 & 4

Salmon run continues to be slow. Day 3 was a triple skunk for us all. On day 4, I hit a 19" splake on heavy #4 firetiger Vibrax spinner on my first cast of the morning. Will have to see about another late season try. I am guessing the main push of salmon hasn't occurred yet across most these lake runner streams. Historically, bay area streams are warmer than those that flow in to Superior directly and are the last to have significant runs of salmon and steelhead. With the warm water, warm weather and low water levels, most fish remain at mouths and in Lake Superior. As always, fun was had with Shebs and Adam throughout this long weekend try! Happy fishing!!
