We Never Expected This... | A Bittersweet Carp Fishing Session

This week, me and Jay headed back to the beautiful **No.1 Pit** for another **24-hour carp fishing session** in the middle of a scorching UK heatwave. After our last visit ended with Jenson smashing his personal best carp, we couldn't wait to get back on the bank.

But this session took an unexpected turn almost as soon as we arrived...

We found ourselves helping the bailiff with something we've never experienced before in all our time fishing. It was a reminder that **carp fishing isn't always about catching fish**—it's also about respecting the lakes we fish, looking after the wildlife and supporting the fisheries that give us these incredible venues.

Although the carp never came this time, we still had plenty of memorable moments, from recasting the rods and trying different tactics to an unexpected family surprise that made the whole trip worthwhile.
