In this video, OMR heads over to Tees Valley Lakes for his first ever session on Alpha Lake, taking on a 48-hour carp fishing trip in search of a bite from one of the lake’s stunning carp.

Alpha Lake at Tees Valley is a venue we’ve visited before on the channel, but this time it’s Dad’s turn to have a proper go. With the rods out, the bivvy set up and the kettle on, this is a chilled 48-hour carp fishing vlog showing the real side of fishing — the quiet moments, the thinking, the missed chances and the reality that sometimes the carp just don’t play ball.

Unfortunately, OMR doesn’t manage to bank one this time, but he does get a missed bite and plenty of time enjoying the outdoors on a beautiful lake. Sometimes carp fishing is all about the experience, and this session definitely had that classic Fresh Fishing feel.
