They don’t call them the "fish of 1,000 casts" for nothing. In this video, I’m out on the river deep in the winter grind, in low clear conditions, searching for that elusive chrome. Winter Steelhead fishing isn’t just about the catch; it’s about the preparation, the cold mornings, and the incredible landscapes we get to call our office.

I had one shot today—a solid take that just didn't stick. While it’s tough to miss a prized fish after so much effort, being out in nature and feeling that momentary tension on the line is what keeps the fire burning. Sometimes the river gives, and sometimes it just gives you a reason to come back tomorrow.
