The annual Oxfordshire region fish-in on Oxlease Lake, Linear Fisheries, Nr Witney was challenging this year with only a handful of tench and the inevitable stray carp finding the net.

However, a few anglers did find some tench with top rod Mike “Simmo” Simpson landing a fabulous 9lb 6oz fish on the last morning.

These fish-ins are not just about catching tench though. They provide an opportunity for likeminded anglers to socialise and share stories and experiences.
