It is that time of the year folks! Trout hunt 2020 led a select group of anglers to the beautiful Mississippi bluffs of Eastern Iowa and Western Wisconsin. This has been an annual fishing trip in my family/friend group that has been going on for 20+ years. COVID-19 (CoronaVirus) had a lot of people spooked, and our numbers were fairly thin for this trip. But there was a small and potentially stupid group of guys ready to take on the Driftless Region!
Day one was going to be the best day of the three we had been given! Unfortunately weather this time of year can be super unpredictable! We were going to get nothing but rain and even thunderstorms the first day and then cold temperatures for the next two! But for this salty group of anglers, that was not going to stop us! Bloody Run Creek was going to be our basket where we were going to put all our eggs! For my cousin from Florida and I, it was the right move! He and I got on some great fish before the heavy rainstorms started to move in for the afternoon!
