Swinging for steelhead on the Hoh River last week, in Forks, Washington. Had a great solo walking and wading trip. Forgot the GoPro most of the time, but at least managed to have it on me for this excellent interaction.

Took me a couple minutes to remember to turn on the camera, but otherwise got the whole fight until the battery died. He was unhooked in the water, never removed. No hero shots.

3 for 5 in four days. Call that a big win.

Swinging a Sage One 7126, Rio 500g Skagit head, 8ft of T8, 5ft of 12lb Maxima. Primarily black and blue intruder patterns.
