This week I am tying a stonefly pattern to show off our new HFS Stonefly Nymph Hook. This hook is a long shank hook with a bend about 2/3 of the way to the eye. It makes a great hook for your stonefly patterns. I like to fish stones for steelheads and I thought I would share a pattern that will make a great steelhead pattern. When steelhead fishing I don't like fish flies that take a long time to tie because I tend to lose a lot of flies. This pattern with a little bit of practice can be tied pretty quickly.
