We celebrated David’s 1000th waterway cleanup in RCWA fashion……cleaning and restoring our local waterways! Yes, you read that correctly! David has participated in his 1,000th waterway cleanup and we couldn’t be more excited and happy!!

We visited Steelhead Creek and decided to tackle a wide open floodplain, since the weather was nice and it was beautiful out!

2 Invasive crews, the water crew, and the hauling crew worked like a well oiled machine, removing trees & trash from this amazing watershed.

The water crew removed 20 tires, 2 shopping carts, a front end suspension from a car, and a large steel plate bottom, along with clothes, blankets, etc. while the invasive crews removed a total of 1,482 invasive Red Sesbania and a FULL bag of seed pods that will no longer be released to germinate downstream! Wow ????

Congratulations to David on his amazing accomplishment, made even more special by a special visit from his son Michael who was in town for the week!! ????????????????

Thank you to the City of Sacramento, for providing the dumpsters we need to restore our waterways and to the volunteers who make this happen!
