Fishing for Walleye and Steelhead and Michigan can be hard in the cold waters of Michigan but it can be done with flies and egg patterns in spring time when the water in the great lakes are still cold the Walleye and steelhead are still in shallow waters and they can be coast in to a slow bite with the right presentation and the color of the lure or flies is every thing some times it is gold then it could be Hunter Green or just a nice earth tone and be you find the color or pattern you might be the only one catching Fish and it my take hours of trying many different colors and patterns so do not give up a good day of fishing can some times only be a bite every hour and yes some days are better on the water then other days a west wind is also better than an east wind and when it warms up the fishing can get hot on a blue bird sky day and if you do not catch on the rod and reel then hope you get a couple of nice hook ups that is always a good day on the Great Lakes of Northern Michigan so try your luck fishing and have a nice day in the woods and water Fish on Big Tim
