The Bonneville Fish Hatchery, operated by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, is a popular attraction in the Columbia River Gorge, near Cascade Locks, Oregon, known for raising salmon and steelhead, and for its display ponds featuring large rainbow trout and the famous giant white sturgeon, Herman. Visitors can feed the trout, see salmon spawning in the fall, and learn about fish conservation through interpretive displays, with free admission and grounds open daily from 7:30 a.m. to dusk.
