One Man's Quest for a Lake Michigan Tributary Steelhead

Two quotes ramble through my mind as I drive once more across state lines in search of a tributary fish. The first is a quote attributed to Einstein which goes something like the definition of insanity is trying the same thing multiple times and expecting different results. The other is from Steve Prefontaine. The man with the mustache who inspired my teenage self to run my fastest races (in other words approaching moderately fast). His line was there is no struggle without success. In this video, my tenth plus documented trip to a Lake Michigan Tributary, I push aside the smartest man, and instead cast on knowing that once that bobber does go down, or I feel that strike while tossing my umpteenth lure, I'll be feeling success on the other end of the line, and all the early mornings, the dollars spent, the days that I came home smelling of skunk will have been with worth it. And I'll have a new line in my head, VICTORY.

Hope you enjoy the video. Have a great day.
