One of the easiest times to target Northern Pike through the ice is during the late ice season as winter transitions to spring. Pike will move up into very shallow water, often less than 10' deep, during this time. They will often be feeding on dead fish frozen and being released from the ice and this is a good time of year to fish dead herring. In this video I fish Tiber Reservoir using dead sticks, auto jiggers, and spoons in search of pike.
