Back on the same canal where I lost a double-figure pike and a solid 40cm perch… unfinished business was on my mind.

This time, the focus was clear: pike only.

With winter weather constantly changing between freezing cold days and rain, conditions were far from ideal. But one lure had proven itself before on this canal — the glide bait — so it was time to put it back to work.

Did the canal’s big pike show itself again… or was it just another tough winter grind?
