This was supposed to be a Pike fishing session at a completely different lake, but when my original plans changed, I opened Google Maps and went looking for somewhere new to fish.

I ended up at a lake I had never fished before, with no idea what was in it or whether I'd made the right decision. So this session became a bit of an experiment — exploring an unknown lake and trying to work out where the Pike might be.

With no previous experience of the venue, it was a case of finding the right areas, getting the baits in position and seeing what happened.

This is a story-driven Pike fishing session from Ireland, with a completely unknown lake, plenty of uncertainty and hopefully a few surprises along the way.
