I Caught a Carp with Actual Carp Methods

Context:
My first carp was on a worm and hook, another was on a giant circle hook with chunk bait, and others were caught when not targeting them. Essentially I have never "correctly" targeted a carp. I have used the hair rig/method lead rig beforehand, but not with my own gear and knowledge, so I'm sort of not counting that in my mind.

I know there is NO right way to catch a fish, as fishing is fishing and luck is involved, but I realize the appeal to the methods used to catch carp. I tried one common method today and was rewarded with a nice common.
