I finally hooked into my first Silver (Coho) Salmon of the year, right here in the heart of Anchorage at Ship Creek. And to make it even more special, it was on my Centerpin setup, something not often seen in this urban fishery!

This trip was short and sweet. I came to drift, to feel the float drop, and to connect the right way. Ship Creek threw its usual mix of challenges: thick mud, heavy foot traffic. But that one good drift made it all worth it.

Gear Used:

Rod: Blood Run Centerpin 13'6" 10-20LB
Reel: Kingpin Zeppelin
Mainline: 20lb kingpin Z-line floating Centerpin line
Leader: 12lb fluorocarbon
Terminal: Raven 11g float and 14mm beads

Congratulations @302akmel for winning my handmade rod ties!
