Situated feet from Downtown Anchorage, Ship Creek is one of the world's best urban salmon fisheries. During July and August silver salmon, or coho, migrate out of the Cook Inlet and into Anchorage city limits where anglers line the banks, shoulder-to-shoulder, in hopes of catching fresh, bright limits of salmon to fill their freezers for the coming cold winter.

Alongside with Dustin Slinker of The Bait Shack and armed with Fire Cure roe, we walked the bank in the Last Frontier and had a banner day catching these salmon within sight of downtown while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors.
