Our Classic fly series continues with Jay Buckner one of the most talented fly tyer Jack has ever met and has contributed as much to the fly-tying scene as anyone. He worked with Dave Whitlock to design the Jay Daves Hopper when it became probably the best-known of all Hopper patterns and one of the most effective. Jay has been a constant personality at fly-tying Expo throughout the world. He was the first to recognize the importance of European Nymphing to Team USA. Jay wrote the first article on European nymphing for US flyfishing magazines before it became popular. A longtime member of flyfishing team USA has given Jay immense credibility as a teacher, mentor, and longtime figure in Wyoming trout unlimited, helping save many rivers. Jay is been featured in Jack Dennis and friends video series and in all three books Jack has written. Jay will be at many Expos this year.
