In this episode of Fishing With Steve, I’m back out for a day of pike fishing in Ireland, targeting wild Irish pike from the bank. After a stunning sunrise, the session gets off to a slow start, with casting off the table because of the conditions and heavy weed around the swim, the bait boat becomes the main tool for getting the baits accurately into position. What starts as a slow session eventually develops into some very special pike fishing.

I also take a look at pike fish care and the essential equipment every pike angler should have on the bank, including an unhooking mat, landing net, forceps and snips, helping ensure fish can be safely unhooked, handled and returned.
If you enjoy pike fishing, pike fishing in Ireland, wild pike, deadbaiting, bait boat fishing and real Irish fishing sessions, this one is worth watching.
