Carp fishing is a fantastic way to introduce kids to freshwater fishing. Carp are easy to catch, are abundant in most Australian waterways and fishing for them is great fun.

Colombo creek in Riverina NSW has a lot of carp. There are a few catfish, redfin and possibly Murray cod and yellowbelly, however it is definitely the European Carp that is the most dominant species in that creek.
