Buoy 10 Chinook salmon fishing is officially underway! We hit the Columbia River for opening day looking for big Chinook King salmon, and it turned into one heck of a day on the water.
We were using Garmin LiveScope to locate fish and trolling 360 flashers with Super Baits and spinners for Columbia River Chinook. The fishing was awesome, the weather was beautiful, and we put some gorgeous salmon in the boat—but the day definitely didn't go exactly as planned.
At one point our Garmin LiveScope went down, forcing us to adjust our strategy, and later we had a little too close of an encounter with a massive ship on the Columbia River!
