Bow Fishing For Carp Can Help Save Utah Lake's Ecosystem

Common Carp, an invasive fish species, have ruined the ecosystem in Utah Lake. Efforts to reduce carp numbers over the last decade have been successful, but it's vital that more be done. The Utah Bowfishing Association is on a mission to hunt for carp because it's good for the environment, but it's also fun.

In this episode of KSL Outdoors, we hop onto mud boats and shoot carp in the marshy, shallow waters. We also talk with the Utah Lake Authority about their efforts to improve the lake, as well as get information about an upcoming bow fishing tournament.
