I love bait fishing for Murray cod every bit as much as I enjoy lure fishing for them.
There's an extra element of relaxation just sitting in one spot, observing nature and waiting for the fish to bite.
In this video I am using live yabbies and cheese as bait to try and tempt a Murray cod to bite. I have also included quite a few fishing tips such as how to rig a yabby, how to have your yabby higher off the bottom, why you should wet your hands before you handle fish etc...
Unfortunately the fishing was a bit slow, however we did catch a couple of fish including one very big carp that my wife Lauretta caught on cheese.
I bet that if we went there carp fishing with worms or corn we would probably only catch Murray cod. Murphy's law!
Hopefully this Murray cod and carp fishing video gives you a few tips and possibly some inspiration to go fishing and enjoy the great outdoors.
