Everyone has it's own story about getting into fly fishing. This one is mine. Of course there were lots more details and interesting stories when we just started to fly fish as kids, but this one was very special. It reminds me how we wanted to get in to the unknown world of fly fishing and how much we were willing to do for it.

The events filmed took place in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1996. My childhood friend Giedrias and I unexpectedly discovered fly fishing in old fishing magazines. At that time, it was very difficult to get equipment and information in Lithuania, so we had to improvise a lot.

My friend Giedrius now lives in Australia an fly fishes a lot. I still live in Lithuania and fish quite a lot in my home waters and some well known European rivers as well.
