Hello and thank you for tuning in.

If you're looking for a simple pop up or bottom bait rig, my version of the slip D is mechanically effective for all waters, either fished with a small 12mm pop up or larger bottom baits. Simple components, strong knots and a confident feel to hooking a carp properly. It also works well as a helicopter style rig set up.

Rig Components:

Nash Armourlink in 25lb silt
Gardner Mugga hooks in size 6 barbless
Gardner or Nash tungsten beads
Nash size 8 rig swivel

Only two types of knot and you're ready to fish!

You can add more like shrink tubing, hook aligners or anti-tangle sleeves to enhance presentation to your requirements. Once you start experimenting, you will find your own perfect set up for your style of carp fishing.

Also, we take a peep into my basic little carp tackle box.

Thanks for watching, leave no trace.
