Northern pike or (Esox lucius) are a large freshwater fish native to the northern hemisphere. They are popular fish due to their size, strength, and fighting ability. They have a long, torpedo-shaped body, a large head and sharp teeth. They are ambush predators, using stealth and quick bursts of speed to catch food. They are cannibalistic, the larger pike will eat smaller pike.
