In this video, I'll be targeting carp. In March, the weather gets a little bit better with rising temperatures, which means that the carp become more active. This results in one of the most exciting ways to target carp. The gear I use consists of the following:
- 9,6ft 7-weight rod (TFO SeaTrout), paired with a reel (ALFA ARCTIC 9+ in a 9-weight).
- Floating fly line (SA Amplitude Smooth MPX 7-weight)
- 0X leader with 1X tippet. In most situations a 2X leader with 2X tippet will suffice, but because of the obstacles in the water I chose to go a bit heavier.
