In this video I go trout fishing on the beautiful Ceira River (Rio Ceira) in Portugal during the 2026 trout season. The river has crystal-clear water, stunning nature and great potential for wild trout.

During this trip I tried many different fishing techniques. I fished upstream and downstream, tested different lures including soft plastics, spinners and minnow wobblers, and explored a long stretch of the river from lower sections toward the headwaters.

Unfortunately, this time I didn’t manage to catch a trout. Even after trying many spots and different lures, the fish were not active. Sometimes that’s how real fishing is — the river wins.
