Starting on the rails to hopping on the road, Eric takes the scenic route to the Dahl Auto Museum. From La Crosse to Prescott, Eric continues his tour of the all-American road, stopping by Freedom Park and the Great River Road Visitor Center.
As Eric makes his way through the scenic small-town communities, he discovers more history and hidden gems, from the breathtaking Maiden Rock Bluff to a legendary pie shop–Stockholm Pie & General Store.
The flavors continue to flow in Pepin at Villa Bellezza, where Eric tastes true Wisconsin wines. Next, he sets out for a cheese fix at Nelson Cheese factory and eventually finds his way to The Monarch Public House–in Fountain City.
On the outskirts of town, in Kinstone, he heads to a rock sanctuary to watch the sunset and reflect on his journey so far on the Great River Road.
While Eric rests and reflects in Kinstone, he’s ready to hop back on the road to learn more at the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge and try a few family traditions–Trempealeau’s Elmaro Vineyard and Sullivan’s Supper Club.
Later, Eric sets out to learn all things fishing and wildlife in Genoa at Captain Hooks Bait & Tackle and Genoa National Fish Hatchery.
The historic adventure continues in Prairie du Chien, exploring downtown and Villa Louis. Just down the road, another historic gem awaits–Stonefield–where Eric is transported back in time.
Celebrating the past in the present day, Eric makes one last stop at Potosi Brewing Company and Potosi Great River Road Interpretive Center.
As the nation’s longest-running travel & tourism TV series, award-winning Discover Wisconsin highlights destinations, adventures, and local initiatives that bring our communities together across America's Dairyland.
