We head to Linear Fisheries for what turns out to be one of our toughest commercial carp sessions yet. With crystal-clear, tap-clear water and extreme conditions, the carp were cautious, pressured, and far from easy to catch.
Armed with a simple but flexible approach, we covered our options from the off — feeder, bomb, and mini zig — rotating tactics to try and trigger a response. Betalin was central to the plan, paired with pellets and mixed ground baits, focusing on attraction rather than feeding fish too heavily in such clear water.
Every cast mattered. Small changes made a big difference, and patience was key as we worked through different approaches, depths, and feeding patterns, all with one goal in mind — getting carp to make a mistake.
This wasn’t about numbers. It was about problem-solving, adapting under pressure, and grinding out bites when conditions were stacked against us. One of the hardest trips we’ve done, but exactly the kind of fishing we enjoy.
